Thinai kozhukkattai will just melt in your mouth. Let Ganesha and your family eat healthy & tasty, sweet & soft Foxtail Millet dumplings this year. Happy Vinayagar Chathurthi(05-Sep-2016) to all my readers.
Thinai is given as prasadham in Lord Murugan Temples. This time, let Pillayaar and his devotees too enjoy healthy thinai in the form of kozhukkattai.
I made 3 mini kozhukkattais to suit my banana-shaped erasers and coconut-miniature contained gozhu thaamboolam. Finally, a banana leaf cut to suit these minis… 😉
Today(Sep-01-2016), my little princess turns four 🙂 Glad to publish a divine sweet post to share the happiness…

Tips/Tricks
- Click here to know how to prepare Foxtail Millet Flour/Thinai Maavu at home.
- If your jaggery is less sweet, you can use 1/2 cup(equal to flour measure).
- Water measurement might vary from 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup depending on how your flour absorbs water. If you feel more greasy even after sauteing for several minutes, you shall add lil flour to bring to kolukkattai flour consistency.
- You shall use Modak-maker to shape as I used for kambu kolukkattai.
